How do I get started?

Three steps: (1) install the plugin and activate the license, (2) connect at least one AI provider by pasting your API key, (3) pick the languages you want and click Translate site. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes. The first batch translation runs in the background; review and refine in the visual editor when you are ready.
Do you store my OpenAI or DeepL API key on your servers?

No. Your API key is stored encrypted in wp_options on your own WordPress installation. The plugin makes API calls directly from your server to the provider — we never see your key, your prompts or your translated content. You can revoke the key any time from your provider’s dashboard.
How does the OpenAI Batch API save 50% on costs?

OpenAI offers a Batch API that processes large jobs asynchronously (within 24 hours) at half the cost of synchronous requests. WPAK-Translate uses this transparently for bulk site translations: you launch the batch from the dashboard, the plugin segments it by content type, then polls every 5 minutes via WP-Cron and applies results when ready. Realtime per-page edits still use the standard real-time API.
What is the "mixed topology" / refinement provider?

Mixed topology lets you combine two AI providers per page: a primary provider does the base translation, then a refinement provider improves tone and brand voice. Does the visual front-end editor work with Themify Builder?

Yes. The visual editor lets you click any text on the front end and edit its translation in place — including text inside Themify Builder modules. The plugin reads at the module level rather than just post_content, so what you see is what you can edit, exactly as the visitor sees it.
What happens when I open Themify Builder in frontend edit mode?

The plugin auto-detects Themify Builder edit mode (via ?tb-preview, tb_active cookie and the static frontedit_active flag) and disables every translation transformation that could interfere: DOMDocument output buffer, the_content filters, themify_builder_data filter, post object modifications, and URL redirects. Result: the Builder works exactly as it does on a non-multilingual site — no spinner, no JS errors, no corrupted data.
How does the language switcher and URL routing work?

Languages are exposed as URL slugs in the path: /en/about/, /it/chi-siamo/, /de/uber-uns/. The frontend language switcher is a shortcode (
